IT STARTED WITH A MISSION
In 2018, Torin Pasa was in a worship service when he was first inspired with the idea for Flights of Faith! A close friend, Andy Ziesemer who is a missionary himself was sharing stories of his travels for the gospel. One of the points that especially jumped out at Torin was the insanely high costs of mission work. He told us that by and large the biggest and most cumbersome expense is airfare at over 70% of the total cost of the mission. Torin was at first troubled by the idea of funds being taken away from the mission field and then the Holy Spirit inspired him! A vision was born and a plan was hatched to start Flights of Faith, a non-profit organization with the purpose of eliminating the burden of the cost of travel for missionaries by providing a real means of fundraising for one mission or ongoing missions, domestic and abroad engaged in The Great Commission. We also aim to reduce or remove the cost of training pilots for the mission field! Flights of Faith uses Flights of Faith Coffee Co. to provide a simple way for missionaries and Christian organizations to raise funds for their mission trips and possibly provide a means for ongoing support while in the field!
OUR SERVICES
Flights of Faith Coffee Co. is one of the best ways you can fund your mission! When you buy Flights of Faith coffee you support our mission of funding the Flights of Faith missionary airfare fund. This fund is in place to make sure that the funds raised to go to the mission field are spent there and not on the task of getting there. We also have an emergency portion of the fund, as we know the mission field is not always a friendly place. God said in His word that He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Well, we feel called to be one of those ways! If a missionary needs to get to a country or get out of a country quickly we are able to provide the funds for the airfare to move them at a moment’s notice so they don’t have to spend their life savings, if they even have the money, to get to safety. When missionaries and their families are in trouble they don’t have time to fundraise for airfare. The proceeds from purchasing Flights of Faith coffee will also go toward buying our first flight simulator to train pilots for the mission field and rent time to the community to further fund our mission and eventually we will purchase our first airplane. This aircraft will be the the second step to making training for missionary pilots extremely affordable and filling up the commercial pilot industry with people doing the work of Jesus. Our mission is to ensure that those called to the field, no matter where that is, can get there and home safely so they can focus on their mission!
